BBC Breakfast host Dan Walker mercilessly MOCKED as viewers spot curious phenomenon

The 40-year-old BBC favourite was joined by his co-host Louise Minchin, 49, as they took their places on the BBC Breakfast sofa to report today’s headlines.

Dan opted for an eye-catching bright blue suit, looking particularly dapper, but it wasn’t long before fans spotted something rather entertaining about his outfit.

Several took to Twitter to liken him to Only Fools and Horses’ Trigger (played by Roger Lloyd Pack) in his startlingly colourful ensemble.

“Has Dan borrowed Trigger’s suit?” one asked, while another attached a snap of the character, saying: “Dan is wearing Trigger’s suit!”

“#BBCBreakfast replaced by early morning screening of Avatar,” a third went on.

“I think my remote is broken. I can’t turn down the volume of @MrDanWalker’s suit,” someone else quipped, while a fourth teased: “Is it my TV setting, or is Dan’s suit slightly psychedelic?”

Other fans were slightly kinder, with one commenting: “@MrDanWalker looks sharp this morning on #BBCBreakfast.”

Dan even addressed the unfortunate likeness, responding to a Twitter user who tweeted near the start of the show: “Morning Trigg.”

“It took about 11 seconds #Dave,” Dan laughed.

BBC Breakfast airs weekdays at 6am on BBC One.
